Mary "Louise" Fells Quash was born on August 28, 1936 to the late Harry and Mary Morris Fells in Dawn, Virginia. Her parents and nine siblings (Walter, Sherman, Catherine, Alice, James, Harry, Clyde, Wilson and Madeline) preceded her in death. Louise was educated in the Caroline County Public School System and graduated in June 1954 from Union High School in Bowling Green, VA. At the age of 12 years old Louise joined Second Mount Zion Baptist Church where she remained a faithful member until the Lord called her home on Friday, August 1, 2014. While a member she served as President of the Hospitality Ministry and Secretary of the Senior Choir. She was employed at Haley Excelsior Mill and Royal School. For 28 years she worked as a Teacher's Assistant in the Caroline County Public Schools where she thoroughly enjoyed working with young people. She even tutored those who needed a little extra help with their assignments. Louise affectionately called - Ma, Mom, Nana, Grandma, Aunt Louise, Aunt Wizzie was loved by all and will be dearly missed. We will miss her warm and friendly smile, her extraordinary way and ability of taking a few ingredients and making it into a fantastic meal as well as being a superb baker - her cakes were DELICIOUS. She had a big hearty laugh, which was very contagious. Louise leaves to cherish her memories, her beloved husband of 59 years, Henry S., seven children, Myron (Shelia), Pamela Garnett, Stephanie Merrill (Quentin), Henry C., Harolynn-Poochie, Quentin, and Sterling (Nelneeta); 12 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren; one brother, Harold Fells (Dorothy); two aunts; Margaret Lewis and Jeanette Fells; 10 sisters-in-law; 4 brothers-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews; and other relatives. "Remember Me" Remember me just as I was, Not how you saw me last, Remember all the joyous times, and fun we had in the past Don't cry for me, now I'm free From all the pains that troubled me Take heart in knowing that I am with God and resting peacefully Remember me whether Kin or Friend For I will surely remember you With God Almighty I proudly sit With others we've loved that have passed Smile for me for I'm in Glory, and I have my CROWN at last!
