Mary Eloise Snead, 92, passed away on January 31, 2021.  She was born on November 4, 1928 to the late Frank, Sr., and Pearl Jackson Nelson. She received her education in the Henrico County School system. At an early age Mary attended the St. James Baptist Church where she served as an usher and was a member of the choir. In the later years she moved her membership to the North Gayton Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband Samuel S. Snead, Sr.; three children Samuel, Jr., Sandra, and Timothy Snead.

Mary leaves to cherish her memories four children Stephen Snead, Dena Shelton, Ronald Snead, and Eric Snead; 11 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren; one brother Frank Nelson, Jr.; one devoted sister Mary Jackson, one brother-in-law Edward Snead (Barbara); two sisters-in-law Deloise Snead and Gloria Crawley (Clyde); a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A private service will be held later at the St. James Baptist Church on Blair Road in Goochland, VA.
