Mary Beatrice Tyler Graves was born March 28, 1942 at MCV hospital (Richmond, VA) to Frank Daniel Tyler (deceased), and Irene Cash Mobley (deceased). Mary's siblings are James Daniel Tyler, Alice Gertrude Palmer (deceased), Arthur Richard Tyler (deceased), Dorothy Elizabeth Tyler, and Nora NaShay Lee(deceased). Mary's step-brothers are James Mobley (deceased) and Elwood Mobley.
Mary attended school at John M. Gandy (Hanover County, VA).
Mary joined Providence Baptist Church (Ashland, VA) at a young age. Mary loved music and also loved to sing. Mary was a member of the Choir for Providence and also was a part of the Community Mass Choir of Hanover, VA under Bubba Johnson for years. She also frequented other churches including Life Line for Jesus Community Church (Mechanicsville, VA).
Mary worked for years at Newton's Bakery (Ashland, VA) and developed a passion for baking. She enjoyed cooking and believed she made the best potato salad. Mary also made plates and sold them as a hobby that she turned into a profit. Mary was compassionate, funny and loving. She loved to share what she had with others. Mary was an avid watcher of the "Young and The Restless" and watched it daily. She looked forward to attending various gospel programs as she loved good singing.
Mary entered into eternal rest at St. Mary's Hospital on Thursday February 27, 2025.
Mary leaves behind her family including her siblings Dorothy Tyler, James Daniel Tyler and Nettie Tyler, and step-brother Elwood Mobley and Wife Angel Mobley. Her daughter, Donna Faye Tyler and spouse Calvin Edwin Wyatt Sr.; and her son, Joseph Fitzgerald Tyler. She also leaves behind 2 grandchildren Comeco Natasha Wyatt and Calvin Edwin Wyatt Jr. Mary also leaves behind 1 great grandchild Camay Gizelle Wyatt and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
