Obituary

Michael Jamahl Curtis was born July 20, 1997 to his loving parents, Spencer Neil and Cynthia Demetria Curtis.  Along with his parents, he leaves to cherish his memory his son, Mycah Jamahl Curtis; brother Brandon O'Neil Curtis; grandparents, Ms. Dorothy E. Tyler and Deacon Spencer J. Curtis, Jr. (Mary Laverne); great grandfather, Deacon Spencer J. Curtis, Sr.; uncles Andre J. Curtis, Sr. (Erica), Anthony S. Tyler (Heather); nephew, Brandon O'Neil Curtis, Jr.; niece, Layla S. Fisher; great aunts and uncles, William Woody, Cora Wyatt (Fleming), Juanita  Braxton (Rev. Roger), W. Wayne Starkes, Cleo Anderson (Earnest), Juwan Troublefield (Rick), Minister Graylen Curtis (Brigid), James Tyler (Nettie), Mary B. Graves, Elwood Mobley (Angel), and a host of other relatives and friends.

Michael joined St. James Baptist Church at an early age.  His love of music lead him to play drums for his church and other churches.  He also created music for other artists.

He was a graduate of Louisa County High School class of 2015.  He played football, basketball and wrestling in high school.  He played football at Averette University.  He later attended Lynchburg College.  He worked at WalMart for a number of years.
