Michael, affectionately known as "Jelly" departed this life on June 19, 2024 at MCV Hospital in Richmond, Virginia. He was the son of the late Phillip Warren Lewis, Sr. and the late Annie Mae (Banks) Lewis.
Jelly is also preceded in death by his brother, Phillip "Wine" Warren Lewis, Jr., a devoted nephew, Derek "DJ" Lewis, a loving Aunt, Helen Banks and a cousin, Carolyn Bernice Banks.
Jelly attended Spotsylvania County Schools. He loved fishing, hunting and fast cars. He also enjoyed talking to his family on the phone. His favorite words were, "Yeah Buddy! He was a loving brother, uncle, and friend to all that knew him.
Jelly worked as a certified Heavy Equipment Operator for many years. With hard work and determination Jelly became self-employed owning his own business, "Michael's Lawn Service".
He leaves cherished memories to his loving and devoted brother, Charles Maurice Lewis, Sr. (Lillian); his uncles, Milton Lee Banks, Sr., and Walter Banks; Nieces, Ariel Lewis and Wanda Harris (Damion); nephew, Charles Lewis, Jr. (Angie); two special cousins, Sherita Banks and Latoya "Tooty" Banks; speicial friend, Earl Waller; best friends, Paul Waller and Charlie Lewis, Jr., and his right hand man, "Tony", whom he worked with until his death.
There are also a host of relatives and friends that will miss Jelly dearly.
