Mitchell Eugene Webster (Bohog or Butch) of Ashland, Virginia departed this life April 16, 2018 to be with the Lord following an extended illness. He was the son of the late Maggie Webster and Ernest Yates of Fauquier County. He was born and raised in Midland, Virginia. He accepted Christ as his personal savior at an early age. He was a member of the Christian Sojourners Ministries until it ended and he joined Hopewell Baptist Church, Orange, Virginia on October 1, 2017. Under the leadership of Reverend Ronald Johnson. Over the years, he worked diligently in the church and always did his best to the fullest. He was a faithful and committed servant. Down through the years, he served as chairman of Deacon Ministries for 6 years, Sunday School Superintendent, and member of the Tidewater Sunday School Union (Vice President for 3 years). He was also an usher and sang in the Men's choir. He was employed by Fairfax County Public Schools and retired from Prince William County Public Schools as Manager after 17 years of service. He also did Masonry work for over 30 years under the leadership of General Lee White, Sr. Most of all he was a diehard Dallas Cowboys Fan.
He was preceded in death by one son, Mitchell Eugene Webster, Jr., four brothers, Albert, Johnnie, Frank, and Charlie Webster, two sisters, Deloris Webster and Josephine Brown and one step-sister, Jean Edwards. Mitchell leaves to cherish and honor his devoted wife of 27 years, Shirley Robinson Webster; three children, Towanna Robinson of Fort Mills, SC , Melvin Webster, and Tyrone Robinson, both of Woodbridge, Virginia. Six grandchildren, Tyrone Robinson (T.J.), Jauwan Johnson, Tyrel Robinson, DeAndre Webster, Destiny Webster, and Tyler Robinson; one Godson, Aaron Williams of Culpepper, Va. Mitchel1 also leaves to cherish his memory four sisters, Alice Payne and Gloria Edwards, Manassas, Va., Naomi Yates Drake, Centreville, Virginia and Gladys Brown, Dale City, Va.; two brothers, Milton and Harold (Danny) Webster, Midland, Va.; one stepsister, Ethel; one bother-in-law, Curtis Brown, Sr., Dale City, Va.; four sisters-in-law, Queenster Webster, Shirley (Smith) Webster, Mary Owens (Hank), Sis (Bea Bea) Robinson; a life long friend, Howard and Edna Wyche of Stafford, Va. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
We will greatly miss his warm and affectionate smile and caring spirit.
