Olivia Bell, affectionately known as Peaches was born on August 11, 1959, in Washington, DC to the late Henry Grant and Evelyn Davis. Monday, September 13, 2021, she went home to be with the lord.
Olivia accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age. She joined Four Gospel Baptist Church in Washington, DC. She later moved her membership to Third Mount Zion Baptist Church in Woodford, VA where she continued her faith walk under the pastorship of Rev. Antonio Baker.
Olivia was educated in the Washington, DC school system. After she moved to Caroline County, VA, she continued her later years of school at Bowling Green High School.
Olivia was employed by Petro Highway Service Ventures in Carmel Church, VA for 15 years. She was also employed by Islamorada Fish Company until her health started to decline.
On August 8 th , 2015, Olivia married her long-time love Stevan Bell.
Olivia was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and devoted friend to anyone whom she encountered. She enjoyed being around her family especially her grandchildren. Her home cooked meals will always be remembered. Olivia will forever be in the minds, hearts, and spirits of all who knew her.
Olivia was preceded in death by her parents Henry Grant and Evelyn Davis; her brothers Ernest Johnson and Gerard Johnson; and her sisters Jean McWhirter, and Stephanie Vereen.
Olivia leaves to cherish her memory and continue her legacy her husband Stevan F. Bell, her sons Vincent H. Tyson (Tracy) and James E. Mercer; mother in law Irma Lee Bell; grandchildren Tiasia Trent, Vinecia Mercer, Destiny Tyson, Shaniya Trent, Lyana Tyson, Keyon Tyson; Jameyah Mercer, Janae Mercer, James Mercer, Jr., Jahiem Mercer (Kanetia Miller), Jamiyah Mercer, James Eddie Mercer (Hailey Boone), Je'Assan Mercer(Janae Mines); great grandchildren Isaiah Tyson, and Kair Tyson; brothers Joseph M. Johnson and Derrick K. Johnson; sisters Renia M. Holmes (Wilbert) and Sabrina Smithers (Lawrence), Theresa Grant and Tonya Franklin (Jeffrey); 2 sisters-in-law and Wanda Johnson, and 5 brothers-in-laws; Goddaughter Lacgratise Hawkins; lifetime friends Val Rock, Faye Wallace, and Dedra Williams, and numerous other relatives and friends .
