Paulette Terry
Johnson
October 8, 1959 – March 1, 2026
Paulette Terry Johnson entered eternal rest on Sunday, March 1, 2026, at her home. Born on October 8, 1959, she was the fifth child of the late Ernest Wesley Johnson and the late Addie Bell Harris Johnson. She was educated in the Caroline County Public School system and graduated in 1978.
Paulette accepted Christ at an early age and became a member of First Mt. Calvary Baptist Church. In June 2025, she rededicated her life to Christ.
Over the years, Paulette worked at Best Products, Sheetz, and NAITO of America, forming friendships that lasted long beyond her time on the job. She had a way of connecting with people—once you met her, you didn't forget her.
Paulette loved the simple joys of life. She could often be found outside with friends, sharing crabs and shrimp, listening to her music, and talking about everything under the sun. She was a true Washington Commanders fan—she didn't just watch football, she knew football. She could name the players, break down the plays, and argue her point until you finally gave in and let her win. She was also a talented softball player in her younger years.
Paulette had a sharp wit and a big personality. She could talk about any topic, and if she didn't know something, you weren't going to convince her otherwise. She loved a good mystery movie and loved even more the people she chose to keep close. If Paulette liked you, she made sure you knew it. The love of her life was her nephew, Christopher. She adored him and they spent countless hours together while caring for her niece, Christina, who held a special place in her heart.
She will be remembered as a loving sister, aunt, neighbor, and friend who brought laughter, honesty, and warmth wherever she went.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Ernest Jr.; her sisters, Dale Diane Johnson, Judy Mae Scott, and Addie Leigh Long; her maternal grandparents, Bennie and Birty Harris; and her paternal grandparents, Cornelius and Liza Johnson.
She leaves cherished memories to her sister, Betty J. Morris (McArthur); her sister-in-law, Ruby Jean Johnson; her uncle, Deacon Curtis Harris, Sr.; her nieces, Rhonda Scott, Robin Scott, Terri Long, and Christina Johnson; her nephews, Ronnie Morris, Christopher Stokes (devoted), Donald Scott, Antoine Johnson, and Marc Johnson; her devoted friends, Cheryl Twisdale, Deborah Green, Shirley Rousey, Ernestine Wills, Sharon Thrower, Brenda Savage, and Nikki Holman; and a host of other relatives and friends who will forever hold her in their hearts.
