Obituary

"Concerning this thing I pleaded with the Lord three times that it might depart from me.  And He said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness."  Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.  Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ's sake.  For when I am weak, then I am strong."

2 Corinthians 12: 8-10 (NKJV)

Priscilla Ann Norville, 65 of Richmond, Va., formerly of Glen Allen, passed away on Tuesday, June 4, 2019.

She was preceded in death by her husband Gregory R. Norville, father Peter Smith, Sr., mother Irene H. Jackson, stepfather Daniel N. Jackson, brother Emmett L. Smith and sister Alease V. Dyer.

Priscilla was very proud of her family and was excited to become a "Grammy" to her 4 grandchildren.  She loved holidays and family get-togethers; any chance to spend time with her family was important to her. She had a passion for cooking, it gave her sense of joy, pride and accomplishment to see people enjoying her food. She would spend hours cooking and preparing for her company. Many enjoyed her southern style cooking. Many calls or visit to her home would be immediately followed by what did you cook.

She is survived by her lifelong companion, Jeffery J. Butler; two brothers, Peter M. Smith, Jr. and Douglas R. Smith; two sisters Dorothy A. Walker, and Gloria I. Johnson; two daughters, Katrina M. Norville, Casey L. Norville-Brister (Jerome H. Brister), three grandchildren, Gregory M. Norville, Darrin S. Norville and Jaishon H. Brister and one great granddaughter, Ja'Nyla Norville, along with numerous cousins, nieces and nephews, extended family and close friends.

She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
