Rebecca Elizabeth
Walker "Puddin"
January 26, 1943 – September 29, 2022
On Thursday, September 29, 2022, our Heavenly Father welcomed our beloved, Rebecca E. Walker, also known as "Puddin", with open arms to her eternal home.
If ever there was an Angel on earth, Rebecca was surely an Angel. She devoted her life to Christ and was a faithful member of the Mangohick Baptist Church. She later joined the Lifeline for Jesus Community Church. She loved the Lord with all her heart. On Sundays, Rebecca would attend church all day but she praised the Lord every day.
Rebecca was born and raised in King William County, Virginia where she made her home and lived her cherished life. In her younger years, Rebecca worked at a sewing factory and was truly a great homemaker and mother figure to all. Rebecca loved her family. She was a wonderful wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, and friend. Her home was not only a daycare for her grandchildren, but also to the many children whom she cared for throughout the years. She was an excellent cook and made the most delicious rolls.
Rebecca never hesitated to help others and would transport family and friends whenever called upon. Her heart was made of gold and her spirit a shining light to all who knew her. She never complained and her laughter was a joy to hear. She will be missed dearly but the love that she left behind will forever be with us.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Malachi N. Walker; her parents Willie and Sarah Anderson; son Bruce J. Anderson; Her siblings Goldie Jason, Willie and James Anderson, Thelma Taylor, Gaynell and Sarah Sharon Anderson.
She leaves to cherish her memories three children, Gilbert Anderson (Pamela), Christopher Anderson (Mildred) and Loleta Vessels; sister, Mozelle Fields, nine grandchildren, Diaundra Morris, Sherita Anderson, Raven Morris, Shanna Morris (devoted), Brittany Anderson, Ciara Anderson, Bruce Anderson, Jr., Tylesha Vessels and Tykiera Vessels, daughter-in-law, Hope Sims; nine great grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews, numerous family members, loved ones and friends.
She will forever remain in our hearts.
