Richard Webster Stokes, Jr. was born the only child to Richard W. Stokes and Blondie Stevens-Stokes in Richmond, Virginia on October 9, 1972.
"Boo" joined Second Mount Zion Baptist Church baptized by Dr. D. J. Ragland at an early age and was very active in many youth activities in the church. Boo was educated in the Caroline County School System where he graduated from Caroline County High School in 1991. He attended Centura College where he majored in Criminal Justice.
He worked as a laborer for Pratt Industries, Smith Recycle and a caretaker for Adult Day Care. He was a budding Disc Jockey and was known for his musical skills on the "turntables." He also loved Bible Study. After becoming disabled he retired from his work. His grandsons were the "apple of his eye."
To know Boo was to love him. He loved to smile and always had a kind word of advice for anybody.
He was preceded in death by his parental grandmother Sarah Stokes, his maternal grandparents Purcell and Dorothy Stevens and his step-father Matt Hunter.
Boo leaves to celebrate his life and cherish his memories the love of his life, his devoted and loving wife Jenese J. Augburn-Stokes; two loving daughters, Brianna R. Stokes and Daija L. Stokes all of Richmond, VA.; his loving mother Blondie J. Stevens Hunter and his father Richard W. Stokes, Sr.; a brother Richard Webb; three step-sons Reginald Cooper, Daniel Augburn, and Joshua Augburn; three grandsons Julian and Tristan Williams and Dwayne Cooper; one maternal aunt Mary A. Hill of Dawn ,VA; five paternal aunts, Mary Phillips (Claude) of Broadnax, VA, Sarah Williams (George), Claudia Lathan, Edith Goodman, Dorothy Carter(Dannie), and Sally Coleman all of Richmond, VA; three paternal uncles, John T. Stokes(Willa) of Dolphin, VA, Bishop William M. Stokes and Earl Stokes of Richmond, VA; his mother-in-law Vanesse Augburn, and his grandmother-in-law Dorothy Ross of Henrico, VA; four sisters-in-laws Victoria Johnson, Sylvia Belton Burrows, Serena Belton and Jamil Belton; two brothers-in-law Victor and James Augburn; one step aunt Arlene Jones of Ruther Glen, VA one step uncle Dwight Hunter of Dawn, VA; one god sister , Tiffany Berkeley; a god brother, Kenneth Mason ; a host of cousins, amongst them were two devoted, Shani Goodman-Cunningham and Contà Hill.
