Richard Thomas Wilkerson, Jr., affectionately known as "Ricky" was born October 9, 1954 to Richard Thomas Wilkerson, Sr., and the late Jacqueline Evangeline Morris.  He accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Union Baptist Church in Ashland, VA.  Ricky united with the Trinity Baptist Church, in Richmond, VA under the pastorate of Reverend Dr. A. Lincoln James.  He attended Hanover County Public Schools and enlisted in the United States Army.

"Ricky" was an avid sports lover.  He was a die-hard Pittsburg Steelers fan.  Ricky loved God, family and most of all helping others in any way that he could.  During his lifetime, Ricky was employed by Coco Cola, Hanover County for over 15 years, Hobsigmon Realty Company and had several part-time custodial contracts.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Anthony Sylvester Wilkerson.  He leaves to cherish his memory his father, Dr. Richard T. Wilkerson, Sr., two sons devoted Richard T. Wilkerson, III (Cynthia), and Anthony Wilkerson; two granddaughters Jaquetta Mckaham and Breyanna Wilkerson, three sisters Gail Wilkerson; Constance Morris and Donna Wiggins; eight  brothers Ronald, Keith, Michael, David (Penny) and Clint (Lisa) Wilkerson; Kim (Cathy), Wayne (Samantha) and Robbie Morris; Anthony Wilkerson, three aunts Carlean Moody, Dorothy Ruth and Patricia Wilkerson and an uncle Clifton Moody.  A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
