Rita Lynn Dunbar Braxton 57 of Galax, previously of Ruther Glen VA, went home to be with Jesus Christ and reunited with loved ones Jan 26 ^th 2022.  She died from diabetic ketoacidosis which was brought on by Covid19 that she had in December.   She was preceded in death by her devoted husband Alton Braxton; parents, Jesse and Carolyn Dunbar; brother Jesse Jr. She is survived by her sister Jennifer (Leif) Blades; her stepson Randy (Martha) Spurlock; five grandchildren, Daeshon Mutong, Randy, Jr., Zephanie, Braylen, and Lola Spurlock; Her dog Muffin, who has joined Randy and his loving family.  Rita was a devout Christian who loved to spread the word of God to anyone who would listen.
