Robert M. Morton was born on August 8, 1949 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Sallie Mclaughlin. He was raised and attended public schools in North Philladelphia. During the 1970s he married his wife of 30 years, Linda Lewis Morton. To their union two daughters, Robin and Kim were born. He later moves to Richmond, Virginia where he began a new life for his family. Robert was employed by Avis Car Rental and Wright Properties. He then started his own Janitorial Service called Sani-Clean.

Robert "Bobby" M. Morton passed away on November 16, 2016 at his home. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Linda Lewis Morton. He leaves to cherish his memory his mother Mrs. Sallie Smith, two devoted daughters Robin Harris and Kim Lewis Morton, one devoted son-in-law that was more like a son Stacey Harris, three grandchildren Linae, Kelly, and Kamryn, four devoted friends Stanford Ousley, John Collins, Haywood "Captain" Woody, Ronald "Ron" Tanksley and his dog "CoCo". Robert was affectionately known by his grandchildren as "Pop Pop" and he loved them so dearly. He was a great father and he cared deeply for his family and friends. He cherished his friendships and he showed that he didn't take the term "friend" lightly, for he was indeed a true friend. If you ever needed him, he was there. He was the handy man who could fix almost anything including a frown. He was funny and enjoyed making others laugh. Robert's home was always open to family and friends who just wanted to visit. On Sundays he would often be found listening to old music. He was truly one of a kind and will always be dearly missed and deeply loved.
