Obituary

Rosia Lee Minis, 85, formerly of Baltimore, MD departed this life on Wednesday, February 6, 2019, at Retreat Hospital in Richmond, VA.  She was the daughter of the late Carroll and Neva Minis. She was preceded in death by a brother, John "Sonny" Minis and nephew Eric Minis.
In March 2002, Rosia and her mother moved to Rockville, VA to reside with Robert and Dorothy Brooks.  Rosia loved coloring, puzzles, enjoyed attending A Grace Place to fellowship and socialize, traveling, and her Lewis family members. She always had a sweet smile on her face and loved when family members gave her money. When Robert or Dewayne would playfully attempt to take her change purse; she would slap their hands and say, "It's mine." Even as her health started to decline, she never complained and always say "I am alright."
She leaves to cherish her memory devoted cousins, Dorothy and Robert Brooks, Crystal (Hardy) Tinsley, Tonya Brooks-Green, R. Dewayne (Niki) Brooks, Thomas (Keeron) Brice, Jr, Derrick Brice; devoted family friend, Mrs. Margret Wimberly and a host of other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 10, 2019, from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Henry W. Dabney Funeral. Interment Roselawn Memory Gardens on Monday, February 11, 2019, at 11:00 am.
