Ruth Lillian Washington

November 29, 1936 – April 24, 2020

Ruth Lillian Washington was born on November 29, 1936 to the late Ora Foster in King William, Virginia.  At an early age, she was baptized and joined St. Paul's Baptist Church in King William County, which she was a dedicated and faithful member.

Ruth attended King William Public Schools where she completed her elementary and secondary education.  After high school, she furthered her career by working at Tyson's Food company for more than thirty years.

On February 6, 1960, Ruth was united in holy matrimony to Samuel Washington. Ruth was a loving and devoted wife until her husband preceded her in death.  She was also preceded in death by her son Darryle Wayne Washington.

Ruth leaves to cherish her memory four loving and devoted sons, Tony (Gladys), Ricky (Sheila), Marvin (Cynthia), and Darrick (Cavonia); two sisters Alice Foster, Gertrude Mallory; one brother, William Foster; twelve grandchildren, Lavoria, Megan, Katie, Lorenzo, Julian, Marrissa, Melina, Taylor, Shanya, Kyla, Marcus, and Jayden; five great-grandchildren, Christian, Gabriel, Avery, Carmen, and Zayn; two devoted friends, Pamela Jefferson and Tracy Gaines (caregiver) and a host of other relatives and friends.
