Samuel Anderson, Jr. 82, of Hanover, VA passed away peacefully on Monday August 7, 2017.  He leaves to cherish his memory, his son, Samuel Anderson, III his daughter, Rev. Michele Armstrong (Lewis) seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren,  2 sisters, Janie and Elaine a devoted brother and sister-in-law, Douglas Anderson (Sarah) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Remains rest at the Henry W. Dabney Funeral home, 518 N. Washington Hwy. Ashland, VA where viewing will be held Sunday, Aug. 13 from 2:00 to 6:00 PM.  Funeral services will be held, Monday, August 14, 12:00 PM at the Mangohick Baptist Church, 147 Mangohick Church Rd.  Hanover, VA.
