Sarah E.
Goodall
November 10, 1942 – December 18, 2025
Sarah Evelyn Goodall peacefully transitioned to her heavenly home on Thursday, December 18, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. God sent His angels to escort her soul home as she answered her Master's call.
Sarah Evelyn Goodall was born on November 10, 1942, in Caroline County, Virginia, to the late Willis and Maria Morris. She received her formal education through the Caroline County School System.
At an early age, Sarah united with Second Mt. Zion Baptist Church, where she faithfully served and nurtured her love for the Lord throughout her life. She devoted her time to reading the Bible and listening to gospel music daily, drawing strength and joy from her faith.
Sarah was employed by several companies during her lifetime, including Hailey's, Jarrell's Truck Stop and later retired from the Kings Quarters Hotel in Doswell, Virginia. She was also a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Sarah was the epitome of love and devotion - a cherished mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, aunt, cousin, and dear friend. She was a woman of strength, grace, and impeccable style. She had a genuine love for fashion and took great pride in always looking her best. She was well known for her love of shopping and cooking, with a special talent for preparing fried chicken, macaroni and cheese, and her famous macaroni salad, which became a neighborhood favorite. Her home was always a place of warmth and welcome, where no one ever left hungry. Sarah's compassion and love for her family and friends were evident in all that she did. Truly, to know her was to love her.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Wendy Morris, her grandson, Jeffrey Goodall, Jr.; two great-grandchildren, Jamari James and Kamryn Richardson; and her six brothers. Sarah was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Lloyd Goodall, with whom she shared a loving union that produced eight children.
Sarah leaves to cherish her memory three loving daughters: Joycene (Vincent) Green, Annette Goodall, and Alison Goodall; five devoted sons: Steve Morris, Wendell (Latrice) Goodall, Terry (Tracey) Goodall, Jeffrey (Antoinette) Goodall, and Marvin (Sharon) Morris; twenty-nine grandchildren, including her devoted granddaughter and caregiver, Tymeka Goodall; thirty-eight great-grandchildren; two siblings: Blanche Morris and Norman Morris; six sisters-in-law: Mary (Melvin) Johnson, Lorene (Moses) Tillman, Martha Walker, Rosa Lee Morris, Josephine Morris, Lorraine Goodall; two brothers-in law: Moses Tillman and Melvin Johnson; four god-children: Norris Tillman, Quincy Morris, Jamesha Johnson and Arvel Goodall, Jr.
Her life and memory will also be treasured by her devoted friends, Mamie Johnson, Suzy Johnson, and Helen Tillman, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Sarah will truly be missed by all who knew her.
