Obituary

Mrs. Sarah B. Harris, age 91 of Elmont, Va., passed away peacefully March 12, 2018. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Harris; and son, Muhammad Harisuddin. Surviving are 16 devoted children, Jean Winston (Milton), Jacqueline Battle (James), Ruth Williams, Janice Williams (Leroy) of Denver, Colo., Diane Ward (Maurice), Marshall (Veronica), Joan Boyd (James), Lionel, Gregory of Logansville, Ga., Shirley Scarborough (Robert), Frankie (Janet), Constance Tinsley, Della Miller (David), Linda Scruggs (Harry), Oliver of Kings Mountain, N.C. and Kendra Coles (Joe); daughter-in-law, Aminah Harisuddin; 38 grandchildren, 57 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, six sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Remains rest at Henry W. Dabney Funeral Home, 518 N. Washington Hwy., Ashland, where family will receive friends on Friday, March 16, 2018, 5 to 7 p.m. Homegoing service will be 12 noon, Ebenezer Baptist Church (Hanover), 14476 Scotchtown Road, Beaverdam, Va. 23015. Pastor Robert Scarborough III officiating. Rev. Phillip D. Atkins, pastor of First Baptist Church - Elmont, eulogist.
