Thelma Smith Jackson of Beaverdam, VA peacefully went home to be with our Heavenly Father on February 12th, 2020, surrounded by her children and family. She was an active member of St. James Baptist Church, a retiree of Tyson Foods, INC and a pillar in the community. She will be truly missed by everyone who had the pleasure of meeting her acquaintance. She was the mother of Carolyn Rivers, Eugene Jackson (Roxanne) & Donald Jackson (Angela). She was also a grandmother to 6 and a great grandmother to 12. There will be a public viewing on Thursday, February 20th, from 3pm to 7pm at H.W. Dabney Funeral Home in Ashland, VA. A Celebration of Life will be Friday, February 21st, at 12:00pm at St. James Baptist Church, Reverend Dr. Willie T. Carter, officiating.
