Obituary

Thelma White was born in Hanover, Virginia to the late Landon and Susie Smith. She was educated in Hanover Public Schools graduating from John M. Gandy before heading to Virginia Union University.
An educator for 37 years, she worked in several districts including King George and Greensville County, Virginia and Washington, D.C. She retired from Franklin Military Academy in the Richmond Public Schools (Virginia) system.
Thelma was preceded in death by her brother Landon and grandson Eric. She leaves to cherish her memory daughters, Suzette and Donna; grandson Rodney; niece Adrienne Hester and great nephew Jeremiah Hester; devoted life partner, Donald White; devoted friends, Floscelia Carson, Elsie Derricott, Janice Fells and Harley Rakestraw; devoted student Joenique Cameron; and a host of family, friends and students who loved her dearly.
