Obituary Theodore Rosevelt Mason departed this life suddenly on Thursday, January 30, 2014 at St. Mary's Hospital in Richmond, Virginia. He was born to the late Lee and Patsy Mason on April 15,1928 in Hanover County, Virginia. He attended the Hanover County public school system. At an early age he confessed Christ and joined Union Baptist Church where he faithfully attended until his health began to fail. Theodore and his late wife, Geneva moved to Virginia from Washington D.C where he was an apartment custodian for many years. They relocated to Ashland, Virginia where he resided until his death. He was also preceded in death by 4 brothers: James, Abraham, Leroy, and William Mason. 2 sisters: Mary Mason and Irene David. Theodore was a people person who loved chatting and telling a joke or two to his many friends and family. He leaves to cherish his memories his Devoted Daughter Dell and Son In Law James Johnson of Newtown, Virginia. Step Son: Lloyd Donald Childs of Spotsylvania County Virginia. Two Grand Children: Christopher L. Ross Sr. and Dennis L. Roane Jr. One Great Grand Daughter Lauren Ross. 3 Great Grand Sons: Christopher L. Ross Jr, Dayquan and DeAndre Roane. 2 Special Sisters: Clara Wright and Beatrice Lewis. 2 Sister In Law: Doris Mason and Lucinda Mason. Special Nephew: Timothy Lewis. One Special Cousin: Nathaniel Waller. Three Special Friends: Velvet Thucker, Shirley Lewis, and Kathy Short. 2 Special Care Givers: Rebecca Green and Carolyn Pauley of Companion Xtraordinare and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives
