Vermont Zina
Mines
January 9, 1955 – April 20, 2025
Vermont Zina "Nae Nae" Mines was the daughter of the late Albert L. and Mildred A. Mines. She was born on January 9, 1955, in Richmond, Virginia. On Sunday, April 20, 2025, Vermont peacefully departed this life and entered eternal rest with the Lord, at her home in Caroline County, surrounded by her loving family.
Vermont dedicated her life to the Lord and was baptized at Second Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Dawn, Virginia, at an early age.
She was a kind and loving mother and friend, always full of life. She had a passion for fashion, a sparkle for jewelry, and a love for dancing. But above all, she treasured time spent with her family and friends—those moments meant the world to her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Mildred Mines; her sister, Elizabeth Paige (James); and her brothers, James Fells, Jr. and Robert Lewis Fells, Jr.
Vermont leaves to cherish her memory: her son, Delvin Mines (Charlita); three grandchildren, Kamron "Big Man" Allen, Delwin Mines, and Quinton Green (Jonesha); two great-grandchildren, Kamren and Kamyra Green; two sisters, Delores Stevens (Watt) and Mildred Dyer (Freddie); her devoted friend, Luke Taylor; a host of devoted nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends. The family would like to express a special thank you to all those who lovingly cared for her during her final days. Your love and commitment were deeply appreciated.
