Vicky's Journey
Victoria Michelle Green was called home to be with the Lord on Friday November 22 nd , 2019. She was born on March 13 th , 1992 in Richmond, Virginia at the Medical College of Virginia. She joined Reedy Baptist Church in June 1999 and her spirituality and relationship with God deepened as she matured. Upon graduating from Caroline High School in June 2011, Vicky attended Bryant and Stratton College in Richmond Virginia where her major was Medical Assistance, but she also studied fashion and cosmetology. Vicky had a great work ethic and held several jobs, but most recently she was employed at Fairfield Inn and Suites in Ashland Virginia.
Victoria was loved by many and she truly never met a stranger. She had an overwhelmingly loving personality and her presence filled any room with laughter and joy. She cared greatly about others and lived her life by the golden rule to treat people how you want to be treated.
Victoria loved to sing, dance and spend time with family and friends. If you know anything about Vicky you know that she loved to eat! She was always making people laugh with the funny comments she came up with. One of her favorite sayings was "I'm shame".
Beautiful Miss Victoria Michelle Green was the pride of her parents. Simply put, she was the best parts of the both of them. Vicky was a beautiful mix of her father's charm and her mother's spirit. She was loyal. You could always count on her to be there when it mattered.
The proudest moment of Vicky's life was when she became a mother to Ja'Sya Sincere Goodall on November 19 th , 2010. Vicky dedicated her entire self to being the very best mother she could be. She ensured that Ja'Sya was well taken care of and she provided all that she needed and wanted.
Ja'Sya will forever be the most important legacy of Vicky's life.
Victoria was preceded in death by her grandfathers, William Jackson, and William "Bill" Gregory, Sr. and her Grandmother Sarah Elizabeth Gregory.
Her life will forever be remembered and cherished by her daughter Ja'Sya. Her parents Linda D. Gregory and Dwayne L. Gregory. Sisters Shatoria Gregory and Jada Gregory. Brothers, Dwayne Gregory, Jr., Derrick Gregory and a host of step sisters and brothers. Grandmothers Shirley Green, Claretha Thornton and Ja'Sya's grandmother and devoted special friend to Vicky, Ms. Allison Goodall. Aunts Michelle Green, Shirl Roane, Mary Green, Linda A. Gregory, Angela Doublin, and Alice Snead (Anthony). Uncles Kenneth Jackson (Rose), Corey Jackson, William Green, Corey Green, Juan Gregory, William "June' Gregory, Jr., and Darryl Gregory (Gwen). Great aunts, Carolyn Green, Edith Lee, Earlene Robinson, Jacqueline Young and Sylvia Brown (Mike). Great uncle Howard Jackson and Great-Great aunt Margaret Lewis.
Vicky leaves many close family members and special friends, among them are her devoted fiancé Maurice Tyler. God parents Charlita and Delvin Mines, Sr., and Miss Tonya White. God sisters Leila White and Shakilya Morris . God brothers Quentin Green, Delwin Mines, Delvin Mines, Jr., Brandon Johnson, Dunnevan White, Jr., and six God children. Special cousin Jermaine Foster. Best friends Sade Anderson, Shalonda Edwards, Mashea Mines, Kenya Lewis, and Tyra Mines.
