Wade V. Mickens Of Doswell, VA went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 22, 2017.  He was preceded in death by his father, Everette L. Mickens, sister Clince L. Mickens and  a brother, Louis C. Mickens.  He leaves to cherish his memories his devoted mother , Clestine Mickens; one son Wade, Jr. one brother Wayne (Phyllis); two sisters ,, Veetta (Levi) Brooks, and Novella Mickens; a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.  Remains rest at the Henry W. Dabney Funeral Home 518 N. Washington Highway Ashland VA 23005. Services will be held Wednesday at 12pm at Jerusalem Baptist Church, Doswell, VA.  Rev. E. Richard Swan. Pastor, officiating.  Interment Belmont Cemetery.
