William Lewis Diggs, son of the late Elizabeth D. Garlick and Howard L. Diggs was born on August 7, 1946.  He departed this life on February 14, 2022 at his residence in Aylett, VA.

He joined Mt. Sinai Baptist Church in Aylett, VA at an early age.  He was educated in the King William County School system.

He worked at Reed Logging, George Moore Logging, Ball Lumber Company and his last employment was with Williamsburg Millwork.

He was joined in Holy Matrimony to the late Marie Anderson-Diggs.

He had two brothers that preceded him in death, Howard A. Diggs and Roland V. Diggs.

He leaves to cherish his memories; one devoted son James Johnson (Cassandra) of Dunnsville, VA. ; two Grandchildren Kenya Richards of Richmond, VA and Brianna Johnson of Chesterfield, VA.; four Great-Grandchildren; two brothers Leroy Diggs and Samuel K. Garlick; four sisters Pearl G. Langhorne, Brenda Garlick, Beatrice Holmes (Donald) and Willa Mae Garlick; a host of nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends, including devoted friends Calvin Pollard and Harrison Coleman, Jr.; and devoted friend and nurses Jeanetta and Ballji.
