Gregory A. Morris
President/Owner
Gregory A. Morris is the great grandson, grandson, and son of the late Henry W. Dabney, Salada D. and Charlie McCarthy and Ricardo McCarthy, respectively. Greg is a graduate of Patrick Henry High School in Ashland, Virginia. He also graduated from Georgia Institute of Technology, earning Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in Industrial Engineering and then Greg earned a Master of Business Administration Degree from Wake Forest University. Greg believes in the rich legacy of the Henry W. Dabney Funeral Home as well as how important this business has been to the community for over 90 years. As President and sole owner of the Henry W. Dabney Funeral Home, Greg's desire is for the firm to continue to be a beacon of help, care and compassion to those who are experiencing grief in the Ashland community and surrounding counties.

Rhonda Keyes Pleasants, CFSP, CCO

Rhonda received her formal education in the Virginia Beach City Public Schools then matriculated at Virginia Commonwealth University, earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Office Automation Management. She furthered her education at John Tyler Community College, earning an Associate in Applied Science Degree in Funeral Services. Additionally, Rhonda has a Graduate Certificate in Disaster Science from the University of Richmond, a Master of Disaster Science Degree from the University of Richmond and a Certificate in Christian Ministry from the Baptist Theological Seminary of Richmond. Rhonda has also completed Doctorate level courses in Higher Education as well as Master’s level courses in Public Health-Community Education.
A Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer in the Commonwealth of Virginia since 2000, she is a former Associate Professor of Funeral Services at John Tyler Community College in Chester, Virginia where she was employed for 15 years and served as the Funeral Services Program Department Chair for 5 years.
Rhonda is a member of the Virginia Morticians’ Association, Inc. (Past President and Board Chair), Richmond Funeral Directors Association, Inc. (Past President), Ladies Auxiliary of the Richmond Funeral Directors Association, National Funeral Directors and Morticians Association, Inc. (former National Education Commissioner), 100 Black Women of Funeral Service, and the Academy of Professional Funeral Service Practice (Trustee). She is also a member of Sixth Baptist Church, Richmond, Virginia; Iota Phi Lambda Sorority, Inc., and she volunteers with the Henrico Medical Reserve Corp and the East Marshall Street Well Project and the Virginia Commonwealth University Gabriel Commission. She is also Secretary of the Funeral Service Institute for Public Policies, Inc.
One of her greatest joys is making sure the families she serves are well pleased.
